I don't accept your premise. As brand new drivers, you will be learning all sorts of new things at once and just won't be as efficient as experienced drivers. You'll be making little errors with routing/trip planning, taking 5 tries to back into a spot an experienced driver hits in one, be going to brand new (to you) customers on every load... On top of this, you'll be learning how the company operates -- how the qualcomm works, which macros you send when, how to use the fuel card, how to fill out the paperwork, which paperwork you don't really have to do, etc. Stuff like that just adds up over the day, week, & month so you won't be available as quickly for new loads, which means you will get fewer loads.

The company isn't trying to starve you out -- it isn't a hazing ritual... You're just learning. As you learn, you'll get better. And yes, to some extent, the company will begin to trust you with more sensitive loads.

That is very insightful double yellow... Very informative and I certainly get a grip on what your saying...............I Just need to pay the bills and have a decent start to a career... a lot being said out there about trucker mills... and its a fact that the practice is going on....and Certainly with large trucking companies.... I'm not a spring chicken and don't need getting my whole lifes work (up until now) destroyed or set back several years.

I don't think they try to starve people out...just letting newbies start out at a slower pace while they learn the ropes. Conway sounds like a good company that tries to take care of their teams.
