Well I'm a marksman that's been shooting and building guns for 20 years. It's in my family. My uncle runs the biggest gun show in Tennessee too, so we all have it.
I keep a Glock .40 with 13 rounds on the hip. I'm an extremely good shot up or down. My groups are normal for a shooter who shoots weekly.
There is no substitute for high cap mags in certain situations. Glock factory high cap magazines are fail proof and work excellent. I don't keep them on me, I keep them in my truck safe compartment with my takedown AR-15. I've been very close to a mass shooting when I was 21. And I will be the last person a suicidal maniac wants to run into while anywhere near my vehicle. My truck safe is built in under my back seat, holds:
2 Glock 19's
Daniel Defense takedown AR-15
Kel Tech Sub 2000 folder.(Carbine)
I've got 2 - 9mm 33 round magazines loaded.
The Kel tech sub folder holds Glock high cap mags. .40 cal. I've got 3 of them (22 rounds) ready.
3 - 40 round AR15 Mags loaded.
And of course my Glock 23 on my hip that takes the 22 round mags as well.
As I've said, it's a right that I take advantage of. And it's not paranoia if they're really after ya!
There's nothing like being out with a few friends knowing if something bad were to happen our families will see us again.texasbbqbest Thanks this. -
I have an 18C. My uncle owns a class 3 that was extremely expensive. Something anti gun people usually don't understand, gun laws only create the haves and have nots. Why should rich men be the only people able to purchase these weapons ya know.
I do own a belt fed browning, which is my baby.texasbbqbest Thanks this. -
I assume your 18C is post '86?
Claysapparel Thanks this. -
My uncle is a class 3. I'm not sure if it is or not.
I obtained it through him, which is kept with his class 3 weapons. My browning isn't full auto. So it's in my safe room. -
...So you're unfamiliar with the Hughes amendment of the Gun Control Act of 1986, I take it?
If so, it basically means no full auto weapons manufactured after 1986 can be transferred among civilians.
That's why MG's now sell for usually north of $15.000.texasbbqbest and Claysapparel Thank this. -
That's correct.
He's able to obtain them through his lisence. I misunderstood you. I thought you were asking when it was obtained.MACK E-6 Thanks this. -
I'll elaborate a bit.
My uncle has has the luxury of owning title weapons, some call it class 3. I don't PERSONALLY own full auto weapons. It's just that he keeps an 18c and doesn't move it to dealers so I can "look" at it
He's got a lot of cool stuff. Wish I was in his position.
All of his were made prior to the 86 Reagan bill. -
