Hello, been driving for a little over a year. I noticed some small chipping on my streer tire. They have 120,000 miles on them. What do you think?

I think that's a Michelin XLEZ, and it's normal. Stuff happens. If it ain't down to wire, and it doesn't look like it is, run it.

Pretty good wear out of those steers for 120k. Those dings and chipping happen overtime -- the only thing you can do to help prevent it is by avoiding turning the wheels at a standstill. Even doing that, it just happens.

Run them. A lot of life left on them.

Their fine. Long as no cables are showing and you dont have chunks getting yeeted and they have the legal tread limit just roll with it.

That tire is fine. And, you’re doing really good if you’re at 120k on that tire. I don’t get nearly that much on my steers (Pete 389).

@ 120K, they don't owe you much. Good trailer tire.

Thanks y'all. Im pretty sure i chipped them backing in at a receiver with huge rocks sitting right on top of pavement. Made some stand still turns lining up with the dock. Didn't really have a choice. Ill run them a bit longer.
