Stevens.. Hair?

From what I've been told, urine test usually, but random hair follicle they pick from the class.

They’d take it from head, raising hair up and trim some.

 

The standard is 1.5 inches and that goes back 3 to 4 months. Anything more than that costs more money to test. 6 months you should be good

They are supposed to take the sample from the root. I wouldn't trust that though. A failed drug test to go to ####ing stevens transport of all places would be like starting off a bank account with negative money.

Just cut your hair down to a buzz cut. Or shave your head and offer some pubes or something. At Stevens Transport that'd probably increase your chances of getting hired anyway.

Fyi on the pot...THC 9/10 will not show up in hair follicle. Urine sure will of course.

Pills, hard drugs, etc. show in hair.

 

I wouldn't take anything except what's required for the FMCSA. Urine only. Anything else is gambling with your career and you can rest assured that those big companies will not think twice about ruining it for you.

 

We don't mean to be rude here, some may come across as that, but honestly we do mean to help, except, we've heard it all. Your story is no different than the hundreds of folks coming here to look for an answer. Sadly, we don't have one. "Medical", by which I believe you mean medical marijuana, while may be recognized in some health circles, the DOT doesn't think that way, it's still a class 1 drug, and there is a zero tolerance in the industry. I read the industry is now 99% drug free.
Look where I'm from, I by no means admonish your medical use, I believe it truly has merit from those that use it, but you can't have both worlds today, not yet anyway, and regardless of hair sample or not, which many companies are dropping in favor of urine because of the cost, I suggest looking for something more employee friendly, that looks at who you are, not your personal life.
