Or, you can call the night/weekend crew, and after Emul stops banging his head on his desk after you told him " Jill told me to", he might help you out. :)

    Day 1 with student.
    I think I'm already done.

The student is a good guy, and thank he's anxious to learn.
But I don't know that I'm cut out to be a trainer.

First pickup off the yard, student clips the bumper of a brand new TransAm T680.
Minor damage, and the dude snuck up on us, but still...

That added to all the other crap I'm supposed to teach...
Like trip planning... my trip plans and Stevens trip plans are 2 very different things.
Mine are done in 5 mins and are done in legs.
Stevens style takes over 30 mins and is an exercise in uselessness due to how things can change over the day.
And logs. Ugh. I have a hard enough time with my own.

And on top of that, I feel cramped. I'm not keen on sharing this truck with a non relative for any extended period.

I don't know that to do... *sigh*

Give it a little time. Train this student like your going to be a trainer forever. Then after your done with this one reevaluate.

Week two with Student finished. All Mountains finished, Still need Northeast, backed 22 times, driven 4500+ miles. We have pretty much been running the whole time. Delivering in GA now, picking up in the Morning and the. Heading back to California. I am due for Home time in two weeks so that should get us to the North East. I am hoping when I hand this guy off to the next trainer the only thing he needs are a few more miles.

Have him make up a cardboard sign that reads "DALLAS" and drop him off on the on ramp near a truck stop with his belongings, he'll be just fine. This is an important lesson for drivers that is under the section: "What to do if my trainer hates me?" :violent3:

Got off the yard with a local load that we repowered for a load to AZ, and it managed to make it from OH to TX overweight. So yay 50 gal shuffle!!

Just when I thought I was thru the weather, it moved!
Load from the PNW to Laredo. Made it thru the Blues with only a couple short shutdowns, and nearly got blown off the road in southern Idaho, but figured all was well while I took the 'inside' passage thru Utah down to Gallup.
But I think that weather is hicky bobbing behind my trailer, 'cause here it is again!
Snow, wind and ice ahead and I can only wonder what it's like when I get down around Carlsbad!
Some tell me again why I do this?
