Just a couple of small rest areas that I know of between Sparks and Sacramento.

also off of Bell Road in Auburn there are big wide spots up right off the freeway to park in. I stayed there a couple months ago and its fairly quiet but no facilities

Awesometacular!... I just had my 1st load go crapola on me.
I picked up a load in Perry, GA from Perdue @ 0600. Its going to VA, and I get as far as Atlanta when I see my green "T" has turned to an orange "K". So I pull into the Pilot to check it out.
The box temp is +22 on a -10 load, and it has alarm 26: Refrigerant Low.
So I call RR and got to listen to Major Logan on the Alliance Recruiting Radio Network for a bit, just so they could tell me to clear the alarm and defrost. I did what I was told and went on down the road.
I cross into NC, and the "K" comes back, same alarm, and the box is at 25.
I call RR back, get sick of Major's Greatest Hits, and get told to do the same thing as last, only this time wait until the defrost is done and for the temps to stabilize so they can get sensor readings.
Readings were not good, so I make an urgent trip to Thermo King.
The tech says its a bad expansion valve which cannot be fixed with the trailer loaded. He then pulls the datalogs to find that this trailer has been doing this since June 13.
Not only that, but Perdue started the reefer to precool at 10 am yesterday, and the alarm tripped at 1130ish. They never checked to see if the trailer had precooled before loading it - it hadn't.
They didn't see the alarm at 1900 when they bumped the dock.
But someone noticed at 0100, because that's when they cleared the alarm.
And on top of all that, they put warm product into the warm trailer, and were nice enough to include a temp recorder.

So now I'm stuck at the Charlotte Travel Center waiting for instructions. I assume the receiver will refuse this load since it has never been below +18...

    Fun times...

The Perdue plant is about 20 mins from the house. ;)
Its kinda funny, my neighbor behind me works for Perdue and I work for Tyson.
I've been seeing more Stevens at the cold storage in Unadilla lately.
If your at the cold storage in Unadilla or our plant (or the pilot)in Vienna,
Keep an eye out for a Tyson day cab and say hello sometime. I usually
    have a camo cap on.

Dispatch got a driver to overnight an empty from Perry to Charlotte so we could do a reefer swap this morning first thing... only to find there's been an empty sitting here in TK's yard the whole time. A driver left his rig here for hometime.
Anyways, they're swapping reefer units now, and then I run like all the forces of Hell are chasing me...

So, I repowered a load this weekend going to Washington State. 2 drops. Both drops are for Tue morning. First drop is at 6:45 am at a Wally World DC. Second drop is 200 miles away with an appt time of 9:00 am. lol

    Fire up the flux capacitor?

I notify my DM Mon morning, and after apparently consulting with the CSR tells me to just roll on in there. So thats what I do .... Nope, cant let you in, have to reschedule. So now I sit an extra day. ########. Total lack of planning, or caring about how it effects the drivers.

This is a post you won't find very often... anywhere.

I can't/ won't divulge too much, but I have been in a very dire situation all month...

    Stevens saved my butt.

This company gets a lot of crap. Some of it isn't true, deserved, or fair. Some is.
But yesterday, Stevens showed me its true colors, and I am a reborn fan.
Thank you Stevens. I won't forget it.
