Your rep is not going to be ruined by doing your job. If you had ignored the problems and then broke down or worse had an accident, that would hurt it. Night crew is just grumpy cause it's one more thing on their plate. Don't sweat it.

Well after being in the shop for three days in Albuquerque, I'm headed to Roswell to pick up a load going to Austin. Had the EGR Cooler replaced after getting a "Catalyst Dosing Unit" fault that derated the engine. I don't recall how it works on the Alliance side, do I just get breakdown pay and cover the hotel myself, or do I get reimbursed for that as well?

 

As long as it is a warranty issue they will cover the hotel. Just get with your DM.

 

First 24 of breakdown is on you though, if its a repeat problem or your losing a lot of time in and out of shop sometimes they will pay loss of revenue pay. Long as its warranty hotel is on them.

 

I was referring to PA but thanks, got me a repower hope its not another trailer to fix lmao.

 

Ardvark, I feel your pain on the trailers... I fix so many trailers, I sometimes think I may be the only driver in the fleet actually doing PTIs...


Hey all! Today is my official 1 year anniversary! I survived! Lol

 

Congrats... I hit mine 6 weeks ago. Got an atta boy, a QC message telling me to pick up my seniority award that they never have and a shiney new Pete.

 

Same thing here feel you're pain, who is training these new drivers ? , they are not doing a pti on the trailers, i use 3 valve stem covers on average every trailer we repower or pickup.or can not get to valve stem on a inside tire ,not scaling the load , or running with the tandems in 17th hole , i counted that allway back , just wondering why they are not getting a ticket ?
maybe i worry to much and just need to run with it, but my luck would run out

 

Yeah, I was wondering that, I was very very specific about asking about them paying for it when they told me where to go, they said all I had to do was show ID when I checked in and gave me a confirmation number. I showed up, they didnt even check my id, on the bill it says it is being billed to Stevens, but yeah, i will check my paycheck make sure nothing is going on.

We were supposed to Leave yesterday, something or another with a load out of Little Rock got delayed or something.....All I know is I had to spend another night here in the Hotel, and HAd to check out at noon today. It's now almost 5 and sitting in the Lobby, sucking up the free wifi while my trainer is headed this way, apparently about an hour out from here as of a few minutes ago.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this little patch of Luxury this weekend, got to see a few movies, soaked up the sun by the Pool, did some shopping......but I am ready to get going again!!

 

Looks like Stevens is making the Trucker Daily Fail alot lately...
