I always make a conscious attempt to temper my natural inclination toward sarcasm when dealing with the folks at Stevens, because they don't know me, and with all that most of them are juggling sometimes it could easily be misconstrued... so while I normally avoid it all together, from time to time there seems to be a demand for it. Yesterday was one such time.

I ha e been running very hard, 3000 miles a couple of weeks ago, was heading towards 3500 this past week until I had need to go to a KW dealership in Ohio, not open Sunday so I had to repower, only lost a couple hundred miles, but picked up the $75 for going I to NYC, but Sat most of Sunday so lost a day. No big deal. The guy I swapped with is Grad 3, so I think the load I am on now was meant for him as it is certainly a bread fleet load. 1300 miles, 3 stops, 5 days and out of our main freight lanes so a repower not likely... no biggie, fake the good with the bad, and this will let me recap some hours as I was pushing the envelope.

So I park, do a PTI go in and shower, get a half cut and come back out go the truck to find aessage waiting...

"We show you 580 miles out from delivery, on 8/30/1$ at 2045. Is all OK for on time delivery? Please reply"

My reply was "this is the 28th right? It is 50hrs to the appt... I think I can swing this one"

I understand why they need to check on some loads, but this one? I will be parked 3 miles away by 6:30 this evening.

I would have had the same reply if I were still grad 3...
