Pilot took care of a piece of that by buying the competition.

    #### right! Why not? I love.individualism. As a high school kid in the 70's I used to wear a Top Hat or a Derby with my long bushy hair. Slash did not invent that look!

As a sage singer once sang:

I'm growing older but not up
My metabolic rate is pleasantly stuck
Let the winds of change blow over my head
I'd rather die while I'm living than live when I'm dead.

WOO HOO! finished all the requirements, tomorrow is day 35, and I am happily sitting at a Flying J in Utah with all digits crossed for a repower that takes me home in time to start OR2 Monday.
Made the mistake (depending on who you talk to) of having a Monster while driving tonight, and am now WIDE AWAKE, with no ears to talk off, since the trainer has passed out. Am also a bit shellshocked, but thats more a personal thing than a trucking or training thing.
    Nice tux Emul :)

KMac, Corporal_Clegg, capper17 and 4 others Thank this.

He is not passed out but has discovered a way to get Flue to stop talking. "If I lay here pretending to be asleep, maybe, just maybe she will stop talking". :smt015

Ugh... If I come back to Ontario, CA next in 10 years, it'll be too soon...
I've been stuck here since Sunday night.
Woke up Monday morning to deliver, and found my QC had eaten its operating system (hooray for paper logs).
Was supposed to get the QC fixed when empty, but receiver took too long to unload, and shop had closed.
So I go to shop Tuesday morning. They take a couple hours, and I'm up and running again.
I call the dispatcher who says he's got nothing right then but loads the next day with several picks, and offers me a load from Mira Loma to Stockton, with a preplan on the other side for a good load, which I take.
Wake up to pick up this morning (Weds), and QC is broke again. So back to shop.
Lost the Stockton load and preplan, burned another day.
Now I've got a new QC black box and a Berry run with 2 picks going to Target in Cedar Falls.
Hopefully I can actually leave the TA and Ontario tomorrow.
Another day here and I'll have to change my address...
