I'm in my first week in a 660 w/ Alliance. I didn't like it at first because of the weird brake pedal, But then I backed up in it. I think I'll keep it.

    TRKRSHONEY Thanks this.

    Day 2 done with student...

Finished yesterday with 700 miles on the truck but still slower and less miles than running solo. Especially in their first week, so much time in explaining everything to them and I need to get use to sitting shotgun for 400-500 miles then finishing out our mileage/hour restriction. I was exhausted last night and it was a pretty easy day, lol...

We are way ahead of schedule so hopefully we can work a lot on shifting and backing tomorrow at the truckstop as we wait for our 1400 appointment...

Sitting on the yard in Dallas, waiting for the alliance business class to start monday. Got all my sheet cleared yesterday and today so supposedly I am getting paid to sit here and wait. Still up in the air as to wether to lease or not, many say yes, just as many say no. I am a hoping the business class will clarify things for me.

As a former Alliance driver, I always asked people in your position one question, Do you have young children you want to see grow up? if the answer is yes, alliance is not for you. Reason, you will never be home, as every day the wheels are not turning you are loosing money, as payments continue regardless of you working.

When you listen to the people that say no, keep in the back of your mind what they might not be doing right. Good luck

This isnt a decision you can let someone else make for you. Some people do well and some dont. Some of it is luck, some of it is hard work, but MOST of it is working smart and knowing what you are doing. And dont get me wrong, you can be a relatively intelligent person and not understand how to run a trucking business. You have to ask yourself if you really know wat your doing? Do you? Only you can answer that.

Two more big loads, can't find a repower. 2400 miles from Cleveland to the west coast. one drop.
2200 miles, two drop. MI to LA.
Looked up everyone I know, but no one is in the right place.
This might be the first weekend I don't have to help a trainee team find their way off a Kasas dirt road. Things are looking up!

Out of approximately 35 in my class, all but 1 (me) went Alliance. Out of those those I know of one that was successful with Alliance.

Remember, your class instructor (Major Logan if I remember right) will make everything sound good. I recommend doing extensive research and I dont mean by listening to the recruiters.
