Ok for starters to all of you I am not a dude, I happen to be a female. The company I will be training with doesn't essentially haul hazardous materials but they want me to obtain the hazmat endorsement just in case I ever do or if I ever change companies. I won't be driving doubles, triples or tankers either. There is also no need for you to be rude either. I was just asking for some help. I haven't even started school yet. It's not like I was asking for the answers to the ACTUAL hazmat endorsement test. I have already passed all the CDL class A tests. The reason I was asking for help is because some of the answers online do not match up for those questions and a friend of mine who happens to be a truck driver said some of the answers differently than what I currently have. All I wanna do is make sure that I have found the correct answers from the 2012-2013 California CDL manual (HazMat section 9) & yes I do have the manual (I actually have 2 of them). I have gone thru the manual over & over & over again. I will repost the questions WITH the answers I currently have. I just hope you guys can be a little nicer to me & let me know if MY answers are correct.

Your best bet is to go here: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/cdl-practice-tests/hazmat/ and start practicing. That is seriously all I did and I passed just fine. If you have second thoughts or doubts, read your state CDL manual. Once you have your actual CDL, you can pretty much test as often as it takes to get the endorsement without losing your CDL. Just keep in mind you have to retest for HazMat every five years (I think) or everytime you renew your CDL. Good luck.

Chinatown Thanks this.

Erm BB Miss,
Ok, so let's just say we give you the answers... (In theory)
But the answers we give, are wrong. (genuine mistake)
Who then is responsible ? If in the real world, it then later gets you in a pickle ?
This is not a case of people being nasty.
More a case if you being more responsible for your own actions.
Nobody, will be with you when you are on the road.
If a few Hazmat questions, are giving you cause for concern. Hmmmn...
Good luck. You might just need it. -

whats the difference where he gets the answers from if they are in the book already

I have been studying the hazmat section since the end of November & I still have not been able to verify if my answers are correct. I just wish someone out there could be kind enough to tell me if my answers are good or if I still need to keep looking through my 10 page manual on hazmat (yes there are only 10 pages that discuss hazardous materials) or is there a better hazmat book to find my answers in?
-
Make sure you have the correct book (manual version) that coincides with the "test" you are doing. I have a feeling you are doing a test from Source B, and using Source A's study materials and that never works. the same for the actual testing. Use the STATE APPROVED, CURRENT study guide of the state you will test in, and learn to answer their chapter recap questions, and these will coincide with the actual endorsement test questions when you get there.
The complete study of Federal haz-mat regs would require a 1,000 page guide book and several college credits to fully study. the state exams are very minimal and only cover thin slices of the material, and every state, (and every few years) will vary slightly what is covered and the way it is covered. But the states are very careful not to include real test questions that ARE NOT covered in some way by the current, corresponding study manual ... but they also present the information and ask the questions in a way that forces the applicant to really read through the guide, repeatedly to drill down, extrapolate, and by other logical means determine the correct answer they are seeking. And this is by design. -
The entire purpose of the exam is not to know everything in the book but to know how to use it to look this stuff up!
YOU FAILED!!!
