I drive where polar bears not only roam, but cause problems at times, but have never personally seen one.
Wolves is a different story, have seen quite a few, the human tall might just be a slight exageration though, unless you are talking about their length stretched out. lol
If you run the ice road out to point thompson for exxon, you have to take one of their radios with you and keep up with the mile markers at all times. You have to report the exact location of any polar bear, even the fake one they set out to test us. lol -
i just checked where Point Thompson is located.... wow.

Jumping through the hoops exxon requires is redicoulas, but once you get an exxon badge it basically overides any body elses badge, I can drive anywhere on the slope with no questions, but it was a pain.
That said I will not put up with all exxons rules and requirements to run their ice road, unless I am making the big bucks, life is just too short for that kind of regs.
The hops every trip to point thompson is a pain, so I only run it when they have multiple loads and NEED them badly.
I have not run the slope at all for the last 3 years, this is my first year back on it, and if I am not mistaken they finished building a regular road out to point thompson, so no more need for that ice road, it wouldn't even exist if that is the case.mhyn Thanks this. -
Why I asked about wolfs because when I was 14-16 yo kid I would I would like to abuse them. )) Biggest one that I've seen was about 1.2-1.3 meter tall. if I would see them I would take a stone or big piece of wood and go to them. They feel you. If they see you are afraid of them they will attack you. Otherwise they will run away. Brown bears were dangerous. They always would attack humans and farm animals.

Wolves generally stay away from man, but you can not count on that. A couple of years we had one grab a guy on the go an a snowmachine.
I see grizzlies and black bear on a regular, most grizzlies in the interior are much smaller than coastal ones, but are still can be mean and there are exceptions on the size thing too.mhyn Thanks this. -
if the animal is hungry enough wolf included I would place the bet on the wolf over that lumber in the hand.
what's worse than being killed by an animal never found for the people left behind. Known people in Alaska go missing on certain hunts and they went alone they done it all there lives and never found. Makes you wonder if it was an animal or person made them disappear. -
You left out the more obvious choices.
1. Big Foot
2. Aliens
3. They wanted out of a relationship and are now living in Tahiti under the assumed name D.B Cooper.FlaSwampRat and Opendeckin Thank this. -
Happens more than a guy thinks. A few years ago I was in Seward during that big mountain race they have every year. Folks come from all over the world to run up that mountain, and from the looks of some of them, tumble back down. An older man disappeared that year and despite massive search parties, no sign of him was ever found.
Not too long ago some folks were hunting and in camp, a driver I know son wandered out of camp one evening for some reason, search parties went out the next morning and got massive for a couple of weeks, again no sign ever found. -
1 I see this every day when I get out of bed.
2nd is when we hear we need to close the borders.
3rd I have umm nothing move along.
Heres how they plan to protect the city from aliens
