Thats good, always hated shaving, on yet another note, while being out on road, do the trucks have APUs or get fussy over having to Idle when needed because I cannot sleep in a truck thats 110 inside in Tx, my A/C once went out in carls corner @ biowillies and I slept on my flatbed trailer because it was to hot in the truck..

Yeah, that's good at least, can understand not running when not needed, truck I'm currently in is 07' Pete 386 w/ Cat turned to 625 HP, it still avg just under 7 I turn it off when I can and like now when I'm at the house I have it plugged in during these winter months, old truck has 1,255,000+ miles on it though, only real setback here is you do the work on the truck if its not real serious, we do our own brakes, oil changes, etc on our time off when something is needed, but at least we know its been done right because the driver takes care of his own truck. But I do appreciate the answers here, I've got a few loads lined up starting 1.5.14 on a local deal which pays hourly, but I'm not going to leave the boss in a bind, due to the cargo being his own, he has like 60ish loads lined up for January delivery. But I'm giving this a company a very serious thought, I've just been the kind of person who plans ahead, and looks at all the ins and outs of every possible situation.

I have not ever had anyone say anything to me about idiling. If it is spring or fall and the temperatures are nice where I don't have to run the truck, I will shut it off to save fuel and not have to listen to the truck run.

The new Macks have bunk heaters. I have been using that the last few weeks as long as the outside temp does not get too low. It works great and makes it nice not to have to feel the truck rumble all night. I sleep like a baby with it.

Yes I turn mine off when I can and put it on acc to turn radio on enough to knock out the sounds of brakes setting beside or someone refusing to change air dryer filter and hearing air popoff every 15-20 seconds. Bunk heater sounds like it could come in very handy.

Thought I'd leave an update that I've have since put in the application to the memphis terminal, and they way the TM spoke, 'we'll get the ball moving in a couple weeks..' we'll see how everything goes. I do appreciate the quick responses to the Q & A, good communication goes a long ways.
