Company's name: SV Time Trucking
USDOT: 3216149
Based in: Rochester, NY
Number of trucks: 2
Owner's name: Serhii Onofriichuk (also acts as a boss, a dispatch and even a mechanic; basically, the whole company is just him and two drivers!)
AVOID AT ALL COSTS no matter if you’re a driver, a broker or anyone else!!!
I am a professional Over the Road truck driver with a valid Class A commercial driver license. I worked for this company from May 2021 to January 2022 and I already reported it to FMCSA and will report the owner to Rochester Police Department soon as well as I will talk to my lawyer to see what we can do. Companies like this simply shouldn’t exist. ALL loads are forced dispatch. Company’s drivers are 1099! Mr. Onofriichuk as well as one of the drivers barely speaks English. He has a mix of 3rd World/Soviet mentality and I suggest that he’s a psychopath, because he’s extremely aggressive, rude and nervous. The truck I’ve been driving all this time has around A MILLION miles on it and it is not and has never been in a safe condition at all. One day, something happened to the engine so the vehicle was refusing to move faster than 5 mph. Mr. Onofriichuk coerced me to disconnect the speed sensor and drive the truck (with the trailer) to the company’s yard (it was around 5 hours of driving) with no speedometer, engine break and cruise control working. Another day it was very hot outside (it was summer and I was somewhere in the South) and my A/C stopped working. Mr. Onofriichuk coerced me to drive with no A/C for 10 hours to make a delivery on time with all the route being in a 90 degree heat. Besides these 2 incidents Mr. Onofriichuk has CONSTANTLY been coercing me to falsify log books, to work over legal 14 hours and to drive over legal 11 hours using the Personal Conveyance mode. I clearly remember at least 3 shifts, when I’ve been working for 19-20 hours straight.
On January 3rd, 2022, I told him that I’m about to quit in 4 weeks. He got mad, and started insulting me, threatening me as well as trying to coerce me to work for him for 3 more months because “he has financial issues”. I told him that there is no contract (it was a 1099 job without ANY paperwork at all), BUT I’m ok with staying for 3 more months. As we found out later, he didn’t notice that voice message (where I told him yes, I can work for you for 3 more months).
On January 10th, 2022 right after I refused to commit another violation related to Hours of Service, Mr. Onofriichuk said that I’m terminated for this. I took the truck to the yard, said him goodbye, but unfortunately this nightmare was not over yet.
On January 20th, 2022, when I was in the middle of the orientation at U.S. Xpress, I’ve been told that the hiring process stops right now because they got “unfavorable reference” from Mr. Onofriichuk. That lady told me that the only way to fix this is to call him and ask him to change his reference to a good one. Just so you know: I have a super clean MVR, Clearinghouse report and ZERO accidents/tickets IN MY WHOLE LIFE. And I also returned him his truck without a scratch; never refused any load; never did anything that could lead to a bad reference... So I called him and ask him to stop ruining my career and being a complete a#hole. He said, that If I want him to change the reference he gave to U.S. Xpress, I need to pay him $12,000. He also said that he will do his best to make sure that I will never be hired by any trucking company in my life. And that he has “friends in the White House” who can deport me back to where I’m from.
So this is the story. I hope it helps. And you all please wish me good luck with putting this piece of sh#t to jail and shut down his company, as well as getting hiring by some good trucking company. In my turn I wish you guys the best! Have a good weekend!

you say you are a professional OTR driver, but how many years of experience do you actually have?
and if more than say 3 years, why did you even go to work for him, knowing he paid on a 1099?
even at 1 year experience, you mean to say you didn't walk away when he told you it was a 1099 job and you saw the truck(s)?
you are responsible for your own actions, and by the way, many jobs are "forced dispatched"
Lonesome Thanks this. -

forced dispatch i do not believe is illegal. many of the mega companies are forced dispatch.
good luck in your future.
but you left yourself wide open when you said you were a professional, yet knew nothing about a 1099 company, or dispatching.
good luckLonesome Thanks this. -
Serhii Onofriichuk? I'm betting he ain't from these parts.....

it happens, it's a fact of life.
and having that CDL does not make you an instant professional especially when you know nothing.
it's only "assumed to be" you are a pro.
get 5 years experience under your belt, then come back and tell us how professional you are.
good luck in your future
you're gonna need it.Crude Truckin' and Lonesome Thank this. -
Yeah, “Ukrainian trash”, just like someone said in a different thread.. This one is not in Chicago though
