If they offered him a decent rate per mile, why not? Swift would not be bad if they lost the power hungry night nazi's and arrogant upper management...give it some time, there's a driver shortage don'tcha know..

That's flipping crazy to stay out a month. With 15 years and a clean record, if he has one, he has options. Schneider has had the JC Penny account out of Lakeland Fl for at least ten years. It's a home nightly account, five days a week and an easy grand in your pocket. The drivers that don't live within driving distance simply stay in their truck 4 nights a week. It's a good account and they won't lose it so I'm sure they are not very forgiving for "mistakes" I'd imagine they don't happen and if they do your off the account or fired. I have friends on that account and it would have to be a good job to get them to leave.

He should call them and see what they can offer. There's no reason to stay out for a month even if your noob...unless you want to. After about five days I'd be looking for a new job myself.

If he has had to pay any lumpers with a Comcheck then that will show up as an advance, not sure why, but that is just a book keeping thing. As for the per diem, he can activate that himself by doing a Mac 48 on the Qualcom. Just have to put a Y in the space and send.

    Hope this helps some.

He signed up for OTR. With 15 yrs in the business he KNOWS the score. Has he been out 2.5 or 4 wks? Who knows? If he desires more hometime then he needs to go dedicated. Good luck w/ that walking in the door. Patience grasshoppers, earn you opportunities...

Hi huntress I work for swift. Re the cash advances, the $350 figure you're getting is a cumulative amount from when he started until now. Also remember comdata charges $5.00, and throw your ATM fees in also.

We have already tried. We've looked up all the procedures and he's followed everything to a T... They just keep saying we're working on it, looking into it... he's already decided that when he comes home he is putting in for something else because this is asinine.. he is in SC now, and waiting for a load. he's going to have to reset before he can come home because they took their sweet 'ole time "trying to put a load together for him" I personally think the company is full of nothing but BS. He never wanted to go with such a big company, but his time with unemployment was running out, and they promised him the world, so he took the bait. As of right now, He's just going to stick it out until we have something else lined up.
