I've noticed a lot LESS Swift taking ditch naps since the Knight merger. With big fleets incidents always happen, but I've noticed less. If USX goes to that organization, it's possible they may stop being reckless a-holes. If this DOES happen, I'd suggest they also look into buying FedEx fleet-side as well.

One of my current company's bosses was fired from USX for daring to suggest a better pay structure. No joke.

Just what I've learned in 2 decades of OTR and Local Truck Driving:
Pathetic or not, US Express is still in business, just like Werner, JB Hunt, and other, as claimed by many, "pathetic companies".
I've learned over 2 decades OTR and Local that the people who claim this or that company is pathetic, worthless, yada, yada, woof, woof are often themselves the reason that CAUSED their demise, yet they blame the supposedly pathetic companies.

A lot of guys don't want to be associated with Swift. Out of principle.

My theory is high turnover keeps them with perpetually new drivers, which means the drivers always being paid at entry level rates. No raises = higher profits.

They also had a utilization rate of about 1600 miles/week.
