Mr. Green jeans, I really hope when you do your evaluation of your mentor you are honest on how it really was with him, He sounds like one of the trainers that really needs to be booted out of the program, not just swifts program but any companies program. I do have one question and that is how many times have you backed up with this trainer? Any way mostly just hang in there and you are right he wont boot you off the truck because he is making to much money. It is sad you have to live with a greedy POS but it sounds like you are making the best of it, and I think you will make a good professional driver unlike your current associate. Good luck to you and remember you can get lots of answers here.

This is both hilarious and scary at the same time! I am so new of a "newbie" that I haven't even started yet. I start training with Roehl on June 18th. To my credit, I have alot of patience, and apparantly so does Mr. Green Jeans! I can understand the mentor peeing in a bottle. I'm sure alot of drivers do or have, but ALL the time? What if the mentor has to do more than just pee? Does he have a bigger jug for that?! I really hope that my experience won't be THAT bad. I guess I won't mind someone telling me what to do or how to do it and can put up with alot just realizing that it'll be training and won't last forever. But in Mr. Green Jeans case, it probably has already seemed like forever! Mr Green Jeans....my hat is definitly off to you. I can just picture the mentor....laying down on pillows..eating and smelling. Maybe a can of Lysol under the arms while he's asleep?! Good luck and may God Bless!

    Mentor update

    weight about 350 and growing.

new mind picture for all of you

he put on a brand new white t shirt then ate 4 chilli cheese dogs with mustard (laying down of course) you can imagine what he looked like when he got done, then we go to a shipper that requires you to wear long pants, we have to stop at a walmart and he has to buy a pair of sweat pants (only thing that would fit) he does not wear anything but shorts.

so we show up at the shipper, he is wearing his new sweat pants and the white t shirt with the food stains!

to answer a previous question he does stop and get out of the truck when he has to have a bowel movement. -- thank God. but it is the only time he is off his stomach.

    Ill keep in touch

I almost can't believe this story, but I've been in enough truckstops to know this type of driver. You are alot better of a person then me.

I can definitely believe this. Had a driver last night who walked up behind me at a guard shack while I was checking in. I could smell urine before he got within 10 feet of me, and his clothes were completely filthy. Don't understand how people can live that way.
