Recruiter didn't mention that but will definitely do. I certainly don't want to get sent home on a technicality. Application is clean, driving criminal history etc... Employment is mostly barter jobs under the table but listed all for past 10 years and are good references

I bought fuel @ Fontana in 2014 or 2015 and even managed to sneak inside to use the bathroom once.
Swift was running a driving school the last time I was through there. No Parking, just the school, the fuel island, and the scale.Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
The old banana terminal now is the school that trains for swift. I quit swift last October and we could fuel there but no parking. Swift terminal moved to jurupa valley. A lot bigger than banana st. But still as crowded lol.

Yes. I run all 48 with no comfort zones. And I seldom take a home time twice in a row at the same place.
That is because I live in MN near the Inver Grove terminal and my daughters live in Denver, CO. I switch between the two.
You might gross 1,000+ per week after a year or two, if you can get the miles.
Much of it depends on how hard you want to work, and how little sleep and personal time you require.
I grossed about $1,050 last week with around 2,300 miles, but that included $100 in wait time.
If you ran harder than I do you could make more.
And, actually, a LOT more depends on you rather than Swift planners.
If you push yourself hard to make the most miles, they will be there.
I don't push myself any more than I need to, as anyone here can tell you.
I am a strange combination of industrious and lazy.
If I accept a load I will get it there on time, safely. But I add in extra time if I can because I like my off time.
2,500 miles is a very good week for me, and I like it that way. My hours can be averaged, running those miles, so I don't need to do a 34 hour reset.
But if you desire to run the max miles every day, then reset and do it again, over and over...
You will be sent loads that will accommodate you.
And you WILL make the miles and money.
Bear in mind that if you work that way, you won't have a lot of time for posting here. Or watching many movies or shows, cooking good food on the truck, or feeling really relaxed except on your 34.
And how long have I been doing this?
Come early December I will have 6 years with Swift, and my trucking career.scottied67 and dptrucker Thank this. -
been reading a lot a posts about swift, mostly negative, before I start. So this is good to hear. A positive post! I am a workaholic and tend to keep myself busy. Coming out of construction field not a very good business man and just need a change. My goal is to do OTR for 2 years, get as much experience as I can, bank as much as I can then buy/build house near Albany for my 2 girls. Got 2 daughters too, 3 and 5, who just started school. So I figure now is best time to switch careers and get OTR experience out of the way so I can get local options down the road.
Do you have a fridge and microwave in your truck? Is that easy to set up with swift? Figure if I have those two I could eat cheaply and keep running -
-
No microwave because company drivers are not allowed to have inverters, except for the small ones that plug in to the 12V socket. They are only good for around 150W.
If you need a CPAP machine Swift will install a decent inverter, and I think some of the new trucks might have inverters.
The cooler and a lunchbox oven are all you need to cook some good food on the truck.
Tonight is a baked potato, salmon and carrots.
