Swift is a bunch of crooks. They take every opportunity to screw you out of miles, not pay you what you are owed, get you home late even if you have military duty, screw you out of layover and detention pay, and change the rules to suit themselves anytime they need to. I'm just biding my time until I have the experience to go with a better company. Experienced drivers and future CDL holders: STAY AWAY FROM SWIFT!

    Gman10 Thanks this.

I call bs on them not getting you home for military duty. No carrier is going try and butt heads with JAG.

Oh, I threw a #### fit when they tried to do it for the fourth time in the row. They finally got me home but threatened to charge me with a service failure. I tend to believe they are butting heads with me to see how far they can go with me before they get themselves in trouble. I bet if I never said anything, they would be more than happy to get me home late all the time and let me take the heat with the Guard.

No what I meant was have Swift put it in writing that he's going to do this load or not go to the required military duty that way it's not his word against theirs

Comes down to it, if they get tired of accommodating him, they may just decide to let him out of his contract

Most guys I know have the opposite problem about getting home on drill weekends.
Say they are scheduled to report for billet at 600pm on Friday, but are near the house on Weds morn. They just get to go home early without pay.
No carrier in our political climate is going to risk being on the news for not allowing military members to perform their duties.
