Most refrigerated shipping containers or reefers come with roll-up doors, also known as vertical lift doors, as they offer several advantages over swing doors, such as easier loading and unloading and improved sealing against temperature fluctuations.

Roll-up doors are designed to be easy to operate and can be opened and closed quickly, making them ideal for frequent use. They are also less likely to sustain damage during transportation, as they do not swing out and risk hitting other cargo or structures.

Most shipping ports and logistics companies are equipped to handle both types of doors and will not require you to specify the type of door you have when booking a shipment. However, it's always a good idea to check with your shipping provider or locksmith Westcombe Park to confirm their policies and requirements regarding door types.

I prefer barn doors for the extra clearance and less maintenance. In the past year, I have had to repair both of my truck's roll-up doors multiple times from replacing panels, to rollers, cables, and handles. All it is is wear and tear, nothing crazy is happening. For 17 years, I had a truck with barn doors and never had a single issue.
