He has a pretty consistent routine. Delivers early morning to stores and restaurants, etc. He told me he grosses $800 to $900 a week. Thats okay, but nothing to write home about.

The only good thing about the 0500 elephant race to the gate is having an 0900 appointment and sleeping thru it LOL

I run onions to Sysco weekly. Always the same: Get a door at 6 am, sit for 2 hours, then get unloaded in 15 mins, and sit for another 1-2 hours waiting for a green light.

let me ask, is it particularly hard to get on with sysco? will they take somebody without 1 year experience? this seems to be the standard for any 'local' job

Gross 70K a year on avg at Sysco with great benefits, Mon-Fri schedule for me since I have over 10 years seniority.Pay and benefits will be different at each Sysco operating company. I work at a union shop in the midwest. We now have a 2 tier system where new drivers will always make less than the oldtimers. I avg $23 to $26 an hour on the ABC plan. We do have Drive-Cam cameras fleet wide now. Possible to make upwards of 100K with good routes and working overtime on Saturdays.
