Not quite, in 10 years I drove for 2 companies. Quit the one because of that, and the other I quit because I refuse to deal with the BS of the industry anymore, elogs, speed limiters etc. Have 10 years clean verifiable exp. Now I work in an office 9-5 Monday through Friday making about the same.

Very good, I avoided Walmart D.C. like that. I absolutely refused to go to them, under any circumstance.

Seems food shippers and receivers couldn't care less. For every good place there is twice as many bad. Never did reefer but lots of dry. Companies I have been leased to paid detention. After 2 hrs. I have waited all night and part of next day at $50 per hr. Loading at Heniz Fremont Oh. was a joke also. Go upstairs to get bol. and the women are visiting with each other like they are at a card party. Not concerned one bit about doing their job. That was 15 years ago, don't know what its like now. Jamestown Ny. Quality or Sparkle Market was a rude bunch of people. That place closed down now. It's a warehouse for Cummins engine now. Was glad to see that!

Honestly not much has changed, I have unloaded full truck loads with a manual pallet jack by myself and can do so in under a hour . These places are the bottle neck in my business .

Used to do that, but then the floor filled up and the checker was missing in action. Mayby punishment for not hiring a lumper. Now about all we do is Aldi Saxonburgh Pa. Aldi was really good couple years ago. Now they have a new lumper service. Bunch of wack jobs.

Paid $110 in Clanton, Alabama this year. In and out in 2 hours. Not bad.

Walk in the lumper office with an invoice...their unload fee $250, 1st 2 hours are free, minus 5 hours detention at $50/hr (cut them a break, since they're retarded and it helps with the math)...so, the unload is now free...here is your receipt...where is my b/l ?!!!?

I read that the lumpers have to pay the company a $ amount to rent the dock. Part of the money they get is for that. Lumpers are the doom of truckers in so many places.
