I run NW regional out of Spokane.

Spokane is the corporate HQ for the whole operation so they run System trucks (flatbed), TWT trucks (refer) and JJW trucks (dry bulk, tanker) out of that location.

I'm not aware of any 14/7 opportunity at this company. They have their hands in a lot of pies, though. It might be worth a phone call to see what they have to say.

I may have you mixed up with someone else but didn't you say one time that they had an agreement with Donna's Truck Stop in Marysville for drivers to park their truck? Do you know if this is still the case?

Last time I spent the night there I was told System trucks park for free. That was back in July or August. I assumed the company must have worked out a deal with them.

I know the company gets bent out of shape if we fuel there, though. Who knows what the relationship actually is.

Have any of you guys ever gotten any figures from a System O/O? Like net income for a year, average cpm, etc.

Most of the guys I talked to there were around $1.80 a running mile. I've looked at brokering stuff through them by going on the gold fleet, but I've had good luck just finding my own loads.
The miles are there if you want to run them but as an o/o you might spend a little more time waiting for better paying loads

After seeing other threads with schneider choice guys making 1.80 a running mile, that 1.80 for flatbed seems awfully low. Am I missing something? Do accessorials add a bunch of income thats not included in that 1.80 a running mile?

Flatbed rates have been down pretty bad right now. Plus you have to consider system takes 25% off the top. If you stayed out towards the Midwest you could do better than that but if you come out west freight is a lot cheaper.
Im dragging my flatbed right now and I'm not doing much better than about 1.90. It's starting to pick up though

Thank you all for this detaiLed log of your journey. As a new comer to the trade I have found your experiences so informing. I have prehire letters from twt reefer, Pride, and Conway. Twt says I can run the I-5 with the occasional Texas run. Conway and pride are running the lower48. Any words of advise would be more than welcome. Thanks in advance.

Why trying to become o/o and then worry about inspections, licenses, making sure you make enough on a load to deadhead to another one, truck repairs? If you want to become o/o for System, go ahead. Working in oil field and pretty much making same or even more $$ per month and not having to worry about all of the above is worth it imo.
