We have our Kreuig, coffee, cups and supplies all stored in a plastic container under the bunk. We put the coffee maker on the container as a base when making coffee. Everything stays clean. Cream in the fridge.

It usually tastes like some cleaning agent they used to clean the coffee maker, but didn't bother to rinse out. "pour some of this stuff in and make some more!"

ta is always had bad coffee for the longest time that's a given what is actually fairly good though I recommend trying if you like just a little hint of caramel would be the Bogota Sunrise I'm like drinking that most of the TA and Petro I find with that one it's pretty darn good just saying -
I had coffee last night at Max’s Diner in Big Springs, NE. Either I recently lost all my ability to taste coffee or their coffee had ZERO taste. If I was blind folded, I would have sworn I was drinking hot water and I’m honestly not exaggerating even a little.

by one of the last few Max's diner still in business they just shut the one in Des Moines down unfortunately the price is got to be outrageous this isn't the grandma Max's are the bosselmans at years ago we all know that unfortunately..fact I'd say probably about the last four years or so the one in Des Moines just kept going downhill downhill to the point where if I wanted a nice meal I would walk down there towards the casino and go to Perkins LOL -
And then some wonder why truckers won’t support the small chain restaurants in the truck stops. But I guess it’s a chicken/egg debate thing. No doubt the preferences of the average truck driver have changed drastically the past 20+ years and restaurants are having a hard time adjusting or being profitable. If they don’t have a sizable local community to draw from and make happy, they will almost certainly fail if they are to rely only on truckers for their revenue.
I also asked for coconut cream pie? No. Pecan pie? No. Chocolate pie? No. Settled for a mediocre apple pie.Last edited: Mar 2, 2019

I am one of those old school truckers, but i do not need train plug coffee out of a semi that just ran 1,000,000 miles. As for the new drivers having sophisticated taste. Tis may be true, to bad common sense, brains, and all other aspects of life are not today's strong suits.

Be lucky you got that at all. You could have had to settle for one of the stale hostess pre wrapped convenient store (Loves, Pilot), or other non restaurant having travel plaza garbage. God i miss the old school real truck stops of the day. When you could find a home cooked meal, and desert to die for. Made from scratch, and home cooked meals. Now y'all have to settle for high dollar, artery clogging, greasy, undercooked, heart attack waiting fast food, that ain't so fast. Some people you can hear the arteries clogging -
Sheetz or wawa.... wawa i think might beat sheetz ultimately though.
