Nope. We just know our fellow drivers.
What's the more likely scenario?
1. Guard randomly shoots driver and after the cops leave the guard isn't arrested, or..
2. Guard tells lazy driver illegally parked to move, driver gets physical and guard defends himself, cops see it as defensive and doesn't arrest guard.
I know which my wild guess leans to, and it's not the first scenariospyder7723 and tscottme Thank this. -
That's because there is a Dunkin Donuts next to it silly.IH Truck Guy and Rideandrepair Thank this.

I'd agree with you, because it doesn't say the guard shot him through the door.

Truckdriver shot, because of a struggle over a gun. Pretty vague, description of events. Very easily could read, Truckdriver gets shot, despite attempt to disarm shooter. Just keep believing whatever your told to believe. Makes the World seem safer, I suppose. Until you’re the one that’s dealt an Injustice. Everyone will agree, that you got what you deserved, and go on living in their safe little World.

Sorry with what I see and who I see driving these trucks out here everyday, I'm not sticking together with any of them.
Way to much scum out here for me to be sticking with.PSM379, spyder7723, tscottme and 4 others Thank this. -

Reported facts, differing stories, etc . . . etc.
Fact ( feel free to dispute)
15 years ago truck stops didn’t employ armed security.
Drivers weren’t killed by armed security at truck stops 15 years ago.
Yes - truck stop chains didn’t feel comfortable about sending their employees out to monitor parking issues.
No - they don’t complain about banking profits after sinking all their independent opposition.
Yes - they’re entitled to protect their business model.
No - their business model isn’t interested in the HOS model that ELD mandates have now enforced, and the changing face of the industry.
Aside from ‘whatever’ the facts of the incident are - the bigger issue is truck parking.
I watched the tepid response to the ‘Jason’s Law’ and have also seen the touting of chain truck stops in the amount of new parking offered.
Bottom line that I see -
States sluggish or ignorant to creating even basic space without services to park a truck - and . .
Chain truck stops opening postage stamp size locations to generate revenue, driven by larger carriers relationships - knowing they have a captive audience for fuel, but not offering shelter.
That’s my 3c.IH Truck Guy, D.Tibbitt, bzinger and 1 other person Thank this.
