I like Petro and TA for quick fuel stops. They usually have an open lane because they have so many. Now I drive mainly in the southeast, so your mileage may vary. Oh, I also love the Dunkin Donuts coffee that Petros usually have. But others are correct There are much nicer/cleaner options out there.

TAs are creepy.

Back when you were 8. There were stables for the horses to spend the night.
Let’s not mention x1 and dinosaurs.
Seriously... company has us fuel at Pilot. Just took my free shower. Drove next door to Petro. I’m eating real food. Don’t need none of that Micky D’s.Opus Thanks this. -
Real food at Petro? Oh you have a fridge & stove top/oven in your truck. Gotcha.
Lol i almost thought you were calling Iron Skillet real food. Hahahaha. Man you almost had me. Almost. Lol -
Remember. " they have it all, under the big orange ball"?Road*Runner Thanks this.

My favorite truckstops are the ones out in the middle of no where. The big names don't see much profit out there so they let the locals keep their little slice of pie out there.

T/A bathrooms come with complimentary piss smell and stalls have 3-4 inch door gaps so if you're into checking out dudes on toilet-you get for free too
-
The gaps are so when you're taking a dump you can look anyone who enters the restroom right in the eye to establish dominance.WildTiger1990 Thanks this.

Their food isn't as good as Petro but at least they still have sit-down restaurants, and their parking is better than most other chains.

A lot of TA and Petro's are taking out sit down restaurants and opting for fast food or Cafe style restaurants. If drivers insist on eating in their trucks and not patronizing their restaurants they will go away. After all when they go fast food they do not have to absorb the cost of operating their own restaurants. I'm against that and will not use fast food stores for my meal choices but these truck stops are in business for the profit and will get the money from somewhere or close. That's why there are so many pay for parking now because a lot of drivers are not spending any money in the truck stops.
