I'm going to fill out my application for OD tomorrow at the Indianapolis terminal. Is there anything in particular I need to take besides the usual work history stuff? And my smiling, pleasant attitude, of course...

Your social security card.

For an application? I didn't figure anyone would want to see that until I had an interview.
-
They'll still ask for your social so they can make a copy of it.But if you don't have it not a big deal they'll want it upon getting hired.Every place I have filled out apps asked for it right on the spot.
-
Good luck, hope it works out for you if that's what you want
-
Then I'll make sure to take it. I'm getting everything ready tonight before I leave. Doing a relay to Ohio, then back home long enough to shower, kiss the wife, and put the kids on the bus. Then I'm off to the city to the OD terminal. Working nights is great when you have something to do during the day, at least until you need to go to sleep.

Shouldn't need the social , but take it anyway if its handy.
D/L, and a pen with LOTS of ink.
Good luck. Keep us posted.Naptown Thanks this. -

Looks like I jumped the gun a little bit. The background check hasn't come back yet for my hazmat endorsement so it's not on my license yet. It's been two weeks since I went through the process and should be back any day, so I figured I'd go ahead and apply and have my license updated by the time the application was processed. Nope. Gotta have the endorsement before they process the app. No big deal, I just have to go back and update the app once it's on my license really and truly.
I stopped by the BMV on the off chance they'd received notification and my letter hadn't caught up with me yet, but it's election day. The BMV is open, but they can't do anything...$&#%@
Nothing else I could do, so I went and voted instead.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Aaaaah - picky picky. They're so PICKY!
And waiting for that hazmat endorsement is a PITA as well.
You'd think with all the screaming for drivers they're doing, they'd be trying to streamline the process for ya, but . . rules are RULES! They love them rules.
