I always move away from those sloppy and inconsiderate arseholes to find a better spot.Rideandrepair, Farmerbob1 and Tug Toy Thank this. -
I don't see the problem nessecarly in end users only.
This day and age, there is more than enough technology available for them to silence these APUs and reefers. The Scumbags charge 12 grand for something that is not much different from a motor pump while you can get Honda Gold Wing for the same money. Compare the noise levels on both.D.Tibbitt, Rideandrepair, basedinMN_ and 4 others Thank this. -
Not saying that APUs aren't WAY overpriced, just that the comparison isn't quite that easy.
Europe does have some microdiesel small cars and trucks though. I wonder how much those engines cost, and how efficient they are?Rideandrepair and fishonron Thank this. -
Well, I am officially off the dedicated account I have been on for nearly three years.
We shall see how the national Shaffer o/o account works for me.
On the plus side, less than 15 minutes after being assigned to the account, I was contacted by Carol, and one hour later after a couple messages and a short phone call, I am now planned out until Monday.
Even better, I have worked briefly with Carol before, and she knows I don't chase my 70, and understands what that means when my 70 gets short.Itsbrokeagain, D.Tibbitt, Midwest Trucker and 2 others Thank this. -
That kinda sucks...... you obviously asked to be off that account because it’s was sucking......?
Farmerbob1 and Rideandrepair Thank this. -

A lot of company drivers might be OK with the miles I have been getting, but I was not. The loads were shorter, and I rarely saw a load under 40k lbs. 3000 miles took more work than 3500 mile weeks used to.
It was simply time to move on.Cat sdp, Midwest Trucker and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Not all the mars dc’s are using kllm containers. Alliance shippers are the ones that have took a lot of loads from the one I’m at. Hirshbach has also moved in. Kllm, prime and Shaffer always a seem to stay but the lanes they service might change. New ones will last a year and then another low rent will move in.
Farmerbob1 Thanks this. -
@Farmerbob1 ,if you get in the Albany ga area holla. There's a Mars place there
Farmerbob1 and Rideandrepair Thank this.
