Tall shifters , the truth

One reason among many

 

Save a few bucks. Just buy a toilet plunger!!

 

I've had about 4 versions of long shifter in my truck. The first was way to tall, like ape hanger tall. Second was better but not quite the right bend, reverse was to close to steering wheel but very comfortable to shift with elbow on arm rest. Third was about perfect height but 15/16th gear just a little to far away. I'm back pretty close to standard height now. Kinda miss the third version.
And as to why I would do such a silly thing? Because I freaking can

 

There was a driver. Had a ridiculously tall shifter
An agent asked him why? He said his hand was hitting the dash

Oh. Ok!!!

 

Because I can, the best reason in the world.

 

I probably will too if I ever get the chance to learn 'em.

 

To each their own. Why hate on someone's style. If a guy wants a tall shifter who cares unless u pay the bills on his truck
