The more accurate question is, "WHO is Atlas?"

I got pulled into a scale since my tandems were 41 and 10.inches.....

He let me go pretty cool officer....but he said Michigan is 37 to 41 feet....they are sorta like California.....and they will catch you cause their scales measure....but when i went in i didnt know Michigan had a bridge law...

I heard it's also so if you get rear ended the car won't get too far underneath the trailer.

The rule in MD is the rear overhang can't be more than 35% of your wheelbase.

I refuse to ride like that. On my trailer I have roughly 10 feet from the liftgate to the center of the tandem, and for most of our so-called drivers, that's just too terrifying.

Maryland can write you a big fat ticket, for not having a "warning this vehicle makes wide right turns" sticker on your trailer doors.
They are a lot like California in their belief that the nanny state, is the only state.

Perhaps, but none of our liftgate trailers have that, and to my knowledge no one has heard a peep about it.

Trip... planning? You mean you don't just put the address in Google Maps and take off?
