Currently have my double/triple endorsement and my tanker and hazmat endorsements too. Just got the tanker/hazmat endorsements within the last month or so. Worked for my last company for 20 years and drove tractor trailers for them(not tankers) for the last 3 years of my 20 there. They closed up about 4 years ago so I decided to try something else(working for myself) for the last 4 years but things haven't gone as I had hoped. Looking to get back into driving but want to get into tankers. I have Linde and Praxair very close to me but they won't touch me without at least 1 year of tanker experience. I live in NW Indiana and am probably right in the middle between South Bend, IN and Gary, IN so I'm open to options in either direction. The goal is to get my 1 year of tanker experience and then apply at Praxair or Linde seeing as they are about 10 minutes form the house. Prefer to stay local if possible. Just looking for some advice as to what options I might have in my area. Any help would be appreciated.

Gotta be some milk haulers up there that would give you a shot. AG Trucking in Goshen might work with you.

If you want local, best to check Craigslist or yellow pages then knock on doors.
Schneider Bulk might hire you after a refresher course. Schneider Bulk has excellent hazmat/tanker training.cityboy21 and mountaingote Thank this. -
Schneider bulk was looking for local drivers around Gary area daycab usually loading and dropping at tankwash/terminal and unloading loads from road drivers who may arrive on fri and can't deliver until Monday
cityboy21 Thanks this.
