I am starting my business in a few months and I am looking for an accountant/CPA in the Nashville/Gallatin, TN area that specializes in Trucking. Anyone have any referrals?

People will argue up and down about you needing an accountant. You really don't. A decent experienced tax professional will do, doesn't need to be a CPA. Any tax professional that's been around for a minute has worked with some truckers/owner operators.mtoo and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this.

Yes, you don’t necessarily need a CPA, just a good tax professional. A good tax professional should be able to provide you with an organizer that will allow you to categorize all of your expenses so that tax prep is quick and efficient.
My wife is an EA and she has clients (not just drivers) from all over the country. All her clients use fax, email, text, mail, or FedEx. Her only face to face meeting has been with 1 local client.

Finding a CPA/Accountant isn't the problem. Its finding one that knows anything about trucking and write offs in trucking.

Agreed, but I have contacted 32 Accountants/CPA's in Nashville and only 2 of those take on transportation/trucking industry.

Thank you!

Seriously? Did you tell them you are just one truck? Big difference in asking if they can do your individual taxes and whether they would take on trucking/transportation industry which to me sounds like you have lots of trucks.
