I’m on easy street got a call from a broker I haul for all the time. Was inbound to the house Wednesday am he says can you grab this load and deliver it Friday. I’m a Reefer O:O I say how bad do you need it? Bingo I say 8 a mile he says his a is sore. I said well it’s a holiday on Thursday Reefer doesn’t run for free. Will you go get it now? Yes. Take 7 no. Beer is cold old lady is hot I’ve been out 11 days. 7.50 done send it but it’s got to include miles to the house extra 80 miles. Sweet Jesus he says. He agreed I had a great meal at 1 with the family ran it down and already unloaded. 16 hours ahead of time.

Hope you all have a good one

I generally stay home the holidays, god knows I burnt quite a few of them running the USA far from home.

The Holidays are good for a decent dinner and quiet time. I don't participate in black friday or any of that hooey. I do keep a eye out if I needed something from the net and pounce if possible. Recently ordered a widget from Newegg, forget what it is now that we learned from them that the pay server, the payment processing computers within their network were compromised with man in middle type hacking against you the customer entering everything sufficient for bad guys to identify theft and or drain your bank. Make sure you have a stand alone checking with bank card tied to it with 1 dollar in it until it's time to order something online. Put just enough money into it to pay it. And that your bank card carries either Visa or Mastercard credit card power so that unauthroized purchasing against you is denied by bank and not made to take money from you. The seperate account allows you to burn the bad card in a few minutes, change accounts in that time period and get a new card and new account also with a dollar in it That way the compromised newegg payment information is no longer valid anywhere or of use to anyone. (PO Box etc for addressing unfortunately is falling out of favor as postal regulations crack down on the war on drugs and intent to check all packaging for illegal stuff. And to determine physical addressing for sales taxation which became active this year, removing the one incentive to not pay taxes online sales.)

    Good luck.

I'm home. If you work for company that forces you to be out on the road on Thanksgiving and Christmas you need to quit working for them.

Lmao! You dont get out much do you? You do realize it is merely a day we are supposed to celebrate thankfulness out of the other 364 days a year. A day just like any other, and i see no reason to get all wrapped up for one day when we should be celebrating what we have all year long. I dont need the 3rd Thursday of November to remind me of my family. Thats literally ludicrous.

Dont forget about hospitals, gas stations, fire, ems, police, military, etc....

Also that ####### black friday stuff happens the following day. If anything people celebrate black friday more than thanksgiving these days.

The day people buy all they want on sale happens right after dinner on the day your supposed to celebrate being thankful for what you have in life (not your material possesions either, the #### that matters). Tell me that aint set up for the sheep.
