Sad thing it's happening on the JJW side too and we haul some nasty stuff.

 

I'm feeling like tsi wants to expand and grow too fast. The side effect is sloppy training and screening just to move more loads faster.

 

Ding ding we have a winner. Hard to do with jjw but Ive heard system likes to throw lots of trucks at big contracts instead of spreading it out and then they end up with a lot of drivers just sitting around then when they move them off that contract to others the first contract ends up not having enough drivers so loads get delayed. Causing shippers to go elsewhere.

 

Yep, exactly! And then they'll do "dedicated". Say they're having certain trucks only run for that specific contract, then eventually it's whoever is in the area to run the product. That pisses off shippers quick, especially when the drivers have to follow a certain procedure to get loaded, and a random driver shows up who has no idea what to do. I've got a few places in mind that I'm sure the contract will be pulled because of that.

 

What do you expect? They pay low end wages, they get low end employees.

 

Is anybody running glass for System? How is that gig? Pay?

Been working at system for 7moaths. I will be gone asap. Do 8 axle maxi fleet. Make same wages as a mcdonalds worker. My friend runs otr out of Nevada and they basicaly just run him regional.

 

Is TWT just as bad? I heard they were offering $0.60 a mile to teams and that sounded like a pretty good deal

The key is just like everyone else if you wanna make the $$'s with TSI ya gotta keep the left door closed. I did 104,000 miles last year with JJW and never run more then 500 miles from Spokane. Ive been averaging 2,000 miles a week sense October and just did a 3,000 mile week last week. Its tuff but you HAVE TO WANT IT.
