    Wow, thanks for letting us know. That is something else. Well, I would say they were laid off, not fired? They could still get unemployment I reckon so I guess it doesn't matter...but I would be PISSED if it showed on my DAC that I was fired and not laid off...

    the reason they are firing you at this time is to try and get out of paying unemployment

    You can still file for unemployment,....and probably get it....

    Yeah unemployment has already been paid for. It gets paid for weekly like taxes. The benefits you would collect on unemployment were earned the year before.

    Kind of
    Your employer pays into whats called unemployment insurance
    You are payed out of a fund that is payed into by the company you work for
    He gets nothing back if you receive benefits or don't
