truck i stay close to the rules, but in a car another story.

Incident 1. Flew into LBC to drive back with my buddy who just got out of the marines.

Got in 2100 on a thursday at airport in LBC.

Drove to Vegas, had a 2hr jam just into NV, Gravel hauler rolled over.

Vegas sometime that night, not sure of time, it is blurry, had 2 beers in Vegas. Spent less than 1hr in the casino, and to room,

Get woken up at around checkout time, not sure of actual...we eat fast, fuel and on the road.

Next stop was eastern Nebraska(asside from fuel and a meal). About 0300, we found some motel about 3 miles off the hwy by following a plywood sign.

About 1000 wake up call, shower, and go to store down the road, where we see the prettiest girl i have ever seen working behind the counter, me and my friend still talk about her 5 years later......

Next I am somewhere in WNY, sun is comming up, I decide to take rt1/1-86 instead of the thruway, cause I know a short cut.

I get lost like 5 miles from my house, CANT THINK!!! We are yelling at eachother, because the short cut went from paved to dirt to cowpath,,,

    anywho....

Arrived in Eagle NY, at 0930 on sunday, like 57hrs from getting off the plane i was home.

    2600+ miles, 57hrs total time.

Warsaw NY to Hollywood Florida, 19.5hrs, door to door.

Just south of Jackson MS to Elba NY, 18hrs straight driving. SOLO. SAW MANY DOGS!!

I remember driving through texas one night/morning and saw a light way off in the distance. I was all happy...figured it would be a coffee stop......Turned out about 2 hours later all it was was a grain silo........... :smt119

El Paso to Miami 33 hours solo, or Boston to LA 57 hours out 63 back for a year straight. That was in the old days. Not saying it's a good thing, took care of my Moms hospital bills before the cancer finished killing her. So to me it was worth it. You do what you have to do.
