Good luck with that IROC... I hope things work out for you!
Things have changed on my end. New co-driver and new truck.
This one does not smoke.
This truck has more cabinets (yeah) but missing some things I really liked, like the cupholder for the driver was really nice in the other truck, this one stinks. But oh well, you have to take the good with the bad.
Be safe and maybe we will see you out there.
-
I'd love to tell you but my stupid husband deleted the message. It wasn't another trucking company, the name started with a W and it was a investing co. I will ask my dispatcher in the morning.
I don't smoke either, it took like 6 weeks for Werner to find me a non smoking female trainer lol. They had to roll her over from the east coast. The woman terrified me and I refused to get in the truck with her. I found the that freightshaker centuries suck with the cup holders, they cant hold anything in the cupholder right it alwyas is tipping forward and then hit a bump falls on ground. My kenworth's cupholders are perfect. Such a silly little thing to gripe over but its so important to us isn't it lol. -

Yes it is. What is weird is the cup holder by the driver was great, the one in the back next to the bed was smaller and would not fit the cup I have... How weird is that? LOL!
It is sad the silly things we think about. -
Well last week wasn't that bad, we finished the week with 4800 miles. This week started off with 1200 miles, we delivered today got handed a 1600 mile load that has us busy till Wednesday. We decided to stay out for the running bonus (100.00 each for being out thanksgiving). Husband is griping that they haven't said they will cover thanksgiving dinner on the road lmao. Such a baby. Oh noes we have to pay 10.00 for food we would have paid any other day anyway.
The Challenger Thanks this. -
I need to get my darn camera out and get a picture, we plan to bathe the truck before entering cali so I will do it then lol. Sadly I don't think a hot car will be involved for this one though.
We are running hard, I have to sit down and do our mileage for the week, off hand I think it was 4500ish. This last load won't be paid on this week as it delivers after Saturday so we start off next week with 2k miles not bad.
We got a message from the new company, gave us a direct contact for the new management and basically said everything will stay the same for the moment, they will pay off GTS' debt, and invest some capital maybe including new trucks.
Aside from that weeks been pretty bland, no major issues. A lot of loads being swapped to different trucks at the last moment, not sure about all that but we've been rolling pretty good for a holiday so no biggy. -
I am glad things are working out for you!
We got up to NY to spend Thanksgiving with my kids and family... Then got rolling Saturday. Sitting in Atlanta now waiting on a load...
Be safe!

Dear lord this week has SUCKED.
They won't let us sit for more then a few hours!?! And I whined on the CB and got all the other drivers mad at me >.>
So we ran 6k miles by Saturday, they then handed us another load, this one 2000 delivered early Monday.... which would make us around 8k for the week.
We about died. Checking over hours, 70 was busted, there was no way. They kept the load but pushed the delivery date out and had us run against our 70... which a) I hate doing and b) ugh so tired wanted that 24 hours to friggen sleep....
I know, some of you guys want to gut me for complaining about too many miles but sheesh... I signed up for 4500 -.- -
That's a complaint I would love to see my once beloved Knight Transportation rectify !
So how do solos make out over there at Gainey ?
It's just not worth being out here for less than a bare bones minimum of 2500 miles per week IMO. I never even knew they had a yard in Dallas.
Thanks lady and be safe
