Are the blue hoses more superior to the standard black ones?

 

Well there’s the problem. A stranger had hands all over her.

 

That tape works great. Sprung a leak on the top radiator hose on the pos Volvo I’m driving. Bottom hose looks to be next. Why they didn’t replace it too is beyond me. If it fails, maybe I’ll just call Road Service. They like the idea of me being willing to fix whatever’s needed on the old Truck. However they don’t always agree with my suggestions. I think I’ll call Road Service if it fails. Sounds fair to me.

100%. My wife and I tend to drive our vehicles until they're no longer serviceable. Her last ride, it seemed like I was replacing something minor once a month, be it hoses blower motors, or so on. But yeah. I don't know how you'd go about having the whole kit and kaboodle handy to wrench from a truck. I've got a giant three tier shelf right now that's about to be replaced with a proper tool chest for all my stuff. Just keeping impacts, a breaker bar, and a solid socket set seems like it'd soak a ton of space you could otherwise use for something else.

Eh..shadetree mechanic or shady mechanic what's the difference. This is because I've been too cheap to change the old occupants sign on the building. Maybe I'll step up my game at the new shop we're moving into to prevent this kind of shoddy work
