    I’ll be the first to admit that ‘thumping the tires’ does not give you an accurate idea of inflation.

    And I’ll admit that my (as @OLDSKOOLERnWV calls them) mule skinners, cannot access the inner tire valve stems.

    $450 for 6 sets. Can be ordered in different PSI ratings. I ordered 120 PSI. One central fill valve, and the center unit cuts off a tire that drops PSI suddenly.

    The biggest PITA of the step extendable tridem is these stupid little tires. Hopefully this makes maintenance easier.

    A former terminal manager we had used to always pitch a fit about all the guys finding flat tires on Monday mornings and sarcastically blame on it the concrete apron sucking the air out out of the tires.

    With those things, that now becomes a very real possibility. If you have a slow leak that you can’t hear, you won’t find it until it rains, and the system will keep up with the leak so you’ll never know it until your first day back after a long weekend. That’s when you’ll find the flats.

    They can be a double edged sword.

    Yea trying to get your muleskinner back in one of those holes is like putting 10 lbs of mud in a 5 lb bag.
