I never could drink any beer except light, made me sick to my stomach. Liquor was my go-to, funny thing is different liquors had different effects. Bourbon just makes me quiet and mellow, rum makes me happy and gregarious, tequila makes me belligerent. I learned early to avoid tequila, vodka never did much of anything except the basic effects of ethanol.

At this point only medical marijuana is legal in this Hillbilly state because we all know the only vices the Baptist Church endorses is Bourbon and horse racing. However several surrounding states have legalized it. I don’t see widespread use of it in public spaces. I doubt people have any issues using the other state’s products in their own homes here.

I don’t endorse it. It will make you fully self aware, but…. If you orgasm after you just burnt the tree, you toes will curl and you eyes will roll to the back of your head and you’ll lock up like a seizure. I might would do it again just for that

    #### Blair,

You know I quit many years ago. Been sober more than half my life. Probably 34+ years now. I had some nasty health issues going on as I had drank a lot from a young teenager and then of course joining the Navy at 17 and going overseas where that was just what we did lol. Got to where I would be sick for days instead of just hung over. Woke up one morning to go deep sea fishing after drinking most of the night with, my buddy, just so happened to be nasty out there and I was puking my guts out. Went below decks and the old wellcraft we were in had a bit of a diesel leak and that combined with the waves and the drinking I puked my guts out. Told my buddy I was never drinking again. He laughed and I have not had alcohol since. Best decision I ever made and I pretty sure it is the only reason I am still alive.

It is like quitting smokes… still to this day I can taste a good cig. There are days a cold beer sounds good but I remember the absolute shathead I had become and was to myself and others while drinking and I just stay away.

Happy for you and I hope you can keep it going.

I am in Orlando, Florida now, working as a Director of Maintenance for a Private company maintaining a Global Express Corporate Jet. Still have the house in Texas and we will probably end up back there someday. If you get out this way and need a break we I’ll take you fishing out at a cool place if you want and just chill.

Warning - When you stop spending money on booze, you may spend it on tools.

Knowing I was going to need to do some electrical problem investigation myself, I invested in a bunch of electrical stuff and a place to store it. HF was out of them, Lowes had an identical tool cart dedicated to electrical stuff.

@sawmill put me onto a supplier called IBS where I bought $1100 odd of connectors, weather pack connectors, wire etc - in some organizable trays.

My entire and limited selection of sockets. I need reading glasses to see what size they are on most of them, and they mainly existed in broken plastic cases, and user unfriendly packing holders that they came in.

    IMG_0275.jpeg

$100 on Amazon bought 9 units (1/4 - 3/8 - 1/2 inch drive) of aluminum , magnetic, swivel holders for the 150 odd sockets.

My problem with attempting any job was always impeded with disorganization, failing to put tools back in their places, and frustration caused by the above.
