In my area 7up is part of our Bottling group. Pepsi drives out of new Mexico here in the four corners, and from talking with their drivers they have some rough trucking days too. Get faster service though when they break down... That's for #### sure.

Do you work for a company down here in the four corners as well? Would love to hear stories from your beverage delivery experiences as well!

7up is its own company call dr. pepper snapple group. Pepsi will delivery product from 7up because 7up is not even nation wide. I use to work for 7up until they close my terminal down. Physical work dealing with cases of pop and 2 litter bottles. N i agreed with OP i hated when these customer gets anal n check every little bottle like it's some expensive item we deliver.

Coke n Pepsi would pull off there pallets n leave n we would have to break them down..

I see the 7up trucks in Orlando say "Splash Transportation" but they run lift gate dry vans instead of the bay trailers. They have new equipment from what I see down here.

Sure has been cold the last week. Not as cold as back east, but still cold. I hear about the 0 to -20 temps across the Midwest and East and think man this job would absolutely suck in those temps. The job has been business as usual the last few weeks. Had a delivery to a small-town main street pub a last week or so.

Didn't even try to park in front, just parked a block away at a grocery store and dollied my delivery up. I go into some pretty tight lots, but I wasn't about to figure parking out for this delivery.

Strangely enough, after I posting my original post, 20oz bottles rarely come in cardboard boxes anymore--rather they come in the plastic shells (which are easier to dolly around). I'm sure its just a coincidence... but maybe someone is on to me! haha. Who knows. Coincidence or not, I'm glad to be working with the plastic shells. Chasing 20oz bottles of soda around frozen parking lot is not the most fun to be had.

In other news I got a raise. I believe I am topped out, however in the summer time I'm told I will be working a full 70 hour week, which is 10 to 15 hours more than I'm working now--give or take... so I am expecting an increase in earnings as the weather gets warmers and more tourists come to the area--and of course buy lots of soda and energy drinks!

I'm dreaming about warm summer rays like you wouldn't believe. Maybe its a good thing I didn't jump on that chance to head to ND afterall! Brrrrr...

I don't know about that, but for me I've been told if I send a competitors product back on my back haul that I will be charged the cost of getting it back to the proper warehouse... Which I guess is a royal pain on the ###...

I'm thinking they would just throw the product away... And they very well might. I've never been to the warehouse.
