Didn’t think it would. I knew I’d be working again by November if not sooner. But admittedly a return to trucking other than a home daily position is not very likely. Doesn’t exclude at least considering it though.

Once trucking is in your blood it's hard to not want to do it again. I felt the same way when I retired in 2011 after 42 years but all the traffic, electronics, computers and the baby sitting devices in today's trucks I said no way Jose. I travel in the rv with my bride of 47 years or take various travel trips on the road. That keeps the desire to drive more enjoyable as long as the gas prices don't get to high.

Im keeping my opinions open, but returning to anything resembling OTR is last on the list. I’d really like to find something local with about 30 hours a week, but I don’t expect to find that.

Took my customer all of 45 minutes to unload a full trailer of A/C units this morning. My load to Idaho wasn't supposed to be ready until after 0800, but they have parking, so I headed in early. It was right at 0800 when they pulled the trailer out of the door. Managed to make it to Little America for the night. I have an 11 am live unload in the morning and they sent my next preplan. Pick up in Twin Falls after 1700 tomorrow going back to Northlake, TX for anytime Sunday. 1750 total miles.
