    SSB,
You better plan carefully as the hurricane is due to make landfall near Pensacola and then turn slightly towards Alabama/Miss. as a Cat 2 or 3. That puts winds near 110-120.

My son runs team for Estes from Groveland, Fl to Ft. Worth, TX. and his dispatch is holding them in Groveland, Fl. tonight before sending them back to Ft. Worth.

I will be in TX long before it hits, and it's gonna move out quite quickly. Casa de Snackbar is only expected to get scattered storms Friday afternoon and evening. It's not gonna even be bad enough for Mrs. Snackbar to cancel her market

Ended up delivering my Lowe's DC load yesterday, but didn't scan in the paperwork so I carry those miles over until next weeks pay. I did it that way because they planned me on a load out of Ft. Worth that had an 8 am live load appointment and it was a 2.5 hr deadhead, and I didn't want to have the trip all planned out to deliver this morning and then Lowe's not have an empty. This way, I got delivered, got an empty, and now all I have to do is head for the shipper. Once I get loaded, I head for Robert, LA for a Sunday drop. I am really short on my 70, but with the carry over miles and this trip, I will have upper 1500's for the week already, so I can do a 34 and still turn a good week next week.

It rained at the house most of the afternoon, but nothing severe. In fact, we didn't even lose power, which is odd because with our power co-op, if someone farts too close to a power line, the power blinks.

Got to my shipper about an hour early and was loaded and gone 5 minutes after my live load appointment. My fuel stop was Wilmer, so I also tried to get 3 gallons of washer fluid, but was told that 2 is the limit (which is b.s. because I got 3 out of the Lincoln shop recently)...so I took my 2 and grumped a reply "fine, I will just buy $7/gal washer fluid from a truckstop, not my money I am spending". Shut down in Opelousas for the night, they sent me a preplan, pick up in Irvington, AL after 8 in the morning that drops anytime Tuesday in Seymour again. That will give me time to get the load picked up, and run some of the miles off, then get a reset in and run the rest of the miles off on Tuesday. Unless they send me for something long after that, another 3000 mile week will be a walk in the park. I have to seriously slack off like this more often....running some consistently good miles doing it this way :biggrin_25525:

Dispatch calls me asked me if I can re-power load tonight at 10 o’clock in Nashville a Tyson load which, according to dispatch was screwed up by Tyson when they went to pick it up and therefore was delayed leaving the shipper due to it Tyson refuses to redo the delivery appointment in Johnson City, Tennessee…

I ask them what do you have to get me immediately back home and the guy tells me what do you mean home you’re not Showing you’re supposed to be home for 19 days I told them that is highly incorrect.

I have a flight to catch on Thursday going on vacation and he seemed like he was a little steamed about it. Sorry, but I can’t reschedule my vacation That’s been booked and paid for for 18 months.

I’m thinking possibly because I was sitting in Wilmer my home terminal it reset my hometime thinking I was home..too bad.. I’m pu tomorrow morning in Murfreesboro where I’m dropping this load at and going back to the facility in Fort Worth to drop early Tuesday morning and then go home for 13 days..

JohnBoy, O.Henry, 48Packard and 2 others Thank this.
