Do any of you cement haulers have any experience with these new camless hose fittings? We're considering trying them, just looking for any feedback. We know they were designed for the fuel haulers, but our dealer suggested we try them. Screenshot_20180824-010217.png

I haven't seen any being used in our neck of the woods. Yet.
I wonder what the advantage is. If you guys try them let us know what you think.
We still have three totes full of new cam-lock fittings that we picked up at an auction. For our little outfit that's like a lifetime supply.

    Frank Speak Thanks this.

Well, I'm unloading the first load with this camless hose fitting. So far I've carried it around to nearly everywhere we unload, and attached it to the pipes on all the silos. Takes some wiggling to get it latched properly, but some of the pipes are caked with cement. I think it'll work well, and so far it has. But, it's aluminum, and some of the dweebs working here love to drop them on the ground, which makes them egg shaped. Not sure how well it would work once that happens.

Well, the experiment with the camless hose fitting has ended. I can safely say we won't be switching over to using them. Just too much of a pain to hook and unhook them when the pipes are caked with cement. You gotta work to hook them up and hope you can unhook them when done. They may be good for food grade type stuff, or hauling fuel, but for cement they suck.

Well, I knew it was going to fail. People like to hold and say “ears”. Cams? Not so much.

Haven’t seen a hint of these fittings in my company. Over 400 trucks. Food and non food grade.

Thanks for letting us know. We'll stick with our cam-loc fittings.

I take it you’re using them for liquid?
