You will recal the company shut of those guys' fuel card 3 days before Christmas.

There was another interesting story I read about, a Lease Op over there had paid off his truck and Arrow stalled getting him his title for moths. When this all shook out Freightliner came out and repoed the truck and the guy was out over $100,000 bucks investment.

Sorry; I don't believe this for a second. SOMEONE was lied to....be it you, or us, or both.

I started with Central Refrigerated not knowing they where owned by Swift till I got there.

I made it thru the testing got my CDL than came the time on the road with a trainer.

While I had a good trainer we ran into several other trainer trainee combos from Swift where trainer insulted and belittled the trainees in front of me and my trainer. The trainees would call the company who was supposed to be there for them and they wouldn't return calls for day's.
We had trainees get kicked out of trucks in different states by there trainers without help from Head Quarters.
My trainer turned a couple of other trainers in for being completely out of line.
Again I never wanted to drive for Swift and I would have never went to Utah if I had known who I got myself stuck with.

Glad I never had to go with a trainer in my career...because crap like this wouldn't fly too well with me, and there would be blood, bruises, and possibly torn clothes and knees involved. On the bright side, anyone sitting in their truck in the parking lot would get a darn fine show.

Yah I am certain it happened like I said the Guy I had was fine I had keys to his truck and we respected one another so we got along fine.
But being in a small space with someone else sucks no matter how well you get along.

The company closed over night. .. not giving any warnings or even hints... the fuel cards were shut off.. that is when the alarm started sounding... drivers went to use their fuel card and it wasnt working.. so, they called the company o ly to find out the company closed.. so seriously, drivers went to bed and woke up abandoned, stranded and u employed... just days before Christmas. ...

TTR was very helpful... there were many posts like... arrow driver stuck at ______ truck stop in ______ trying to get home to _________.... drivers were also posting where they were and which way they were headed and that they would take an arrow driver as far as they could. ..

While yes, there were those who abandoned their trucks.. there were those who did take it to the the dealership, they were professionals even in the midst of it all... and, that is admirable... strong character.. good work ethic...

    hello hello?
how many of you have been in a truck 24/7 going on 3 weeks now and cant afford to take a taxi to the airport and fly home?
if this is you dont you think its time to go out on your 3 days off and walk in to another trucking company and ask for a better job?maybe you need more experience but that is good enough reason for leaving any job.

I recently returned from Utah, I also thought I was a central guy until I arrived at the TDA instructor Swift sponsored school and told I could end up either way even if recruited by Central. I was sent from Utah back to my home terminal in Decatur GA as they did not have the trainers to support us in Utah....not a bad deal as it was a central terminal. However, no trainers available, so in a hold pattern until assigned and sent out on the road, I've heard some horror stories, but hoping they are only stories.......
