ABF makes very good money. YRC is a notch below that. 35 cpm is what I made in 2004 as a rookie. Frightening to think anyone pays that in 2019 for any level of experience.
They all suck!

I was doing 37.5 cpm hauling doubles in 1994 for Watkins Motor Lines, back when you had to have YEARS to get on with the big boys, and they were around 44.5 cpm....mjd4277, LtlAnonymous and Upinsmoke Thank this.

Find an honest company. Stay with them. Do not quit over a couple of ###### loads. Eventually you will move up in seniority and get better loads/miles/pay. With driver turn over at 100% or more, the drivers that stay with the company will get the best loads/miles/pay. Trucking is a rough game and harder if you never let your crying towel dry out.

100% + turnover. Obviously there are very many sissy steering wheel holders that got into this profession without realizing how difficult it is to be successful and earn a good living.

Whenever I'm looking for work..I revisit the thread..to narrow down my choices...
