53 footers are a lot easier to pull. But I love pulling containers. They are alot more dangerous then 53 footers and some of the chassis and recap are not worth a darn but they get me back home to the family daily. Been pulling containers for about a year now.

I'd have to disagree with that. With a sealed can that's loaded top heavy, anything is possible.

    Kindle and RERM Thank this.

Many of the loads are done very poorly. A friend of mine was almost rolled over sitting still. He was hauling a load of recycle material....plastic bundles loosely bound and stacked haphazardly three high. If you haven't hauled it before.....forget reloading that container. The plastic soap containers and stuff are not rinsed prior to being stuffed into the container. Wet, slimy, gooey bundles that leave a thick slime on the floor and walls. No wonder it shifted on him. He literally could not go forward or backward without the wheels coming off the ground.....had to get it offloaded and reloaded in the middle of a street.

Very common. I've had many intermodal and port containers leaning just at a stand still. No way in hell I'm pulling it, somebody else can if they want, but not me.
