Well, my Volvo 780 probably has more room than any other tractor but I still want more. I'm looking for a place to store my tools, straps and battery powered blower I use to clean out the trailer and to just free up some room in my side storage doors. It's pretty full in there because I have two 5 gallon water tanks. Also, I want to stock a few filters and small parts. I do not like to be unprepared on the road.
I'm thinking of one of these on the frame just in front of the catwalk.
Northern Tool + Equipment Flush Mount Gloss Black Truck Tool Box Aluminum, 60.5in. | Northern Tool + Equipment
I can't find a better deal for the price. What am I not thinking of? I have never had to move my 5th wheel forward enough to where the trailer might hit it. I'm guessing the cabinets that flatbed guys run are much more expensive but I don't know where to find them anyway. I'd love to know what some of you have come up with.
TIA
Thinking about a tool box

I’ve had 6-7 of them over the years.... no problems with any of them -

Was thinking about getting these if I put a toolbox off the frame.
I currently have a Tractor Supply fiberglass box mounted on the catwalk behind my Pinnacle where I store my tire chains, bungees etc. It works good enough, and keeps everything dry, but it isn't big enough. -
K & W manufacturing supplies a variety of sizes and priced right.
They supplied me a 44” box
You may want to consider one with a stepped lid so back of box can be flush with cabAttached Files:
