Don't worry, asphalt is just pulling stuff out of his backside. Could you imagine the PR hit loves would get if it started towing legally parked customers? If they don't want bobtails in those spots, they need to put in bobtail parking.

And once the police come, they will find there is nothing illegal the CMV driver is doing and leave. Your point?

P.S, you might be believed if you can name names. I'll give him a call Monday to verify Loves official policy on bobtail parking....

Saying a bobtail should park someplace else because he can is akin to me (pulling a pneumatic) saying that a guy pulling a box should go park along the street by the distribution center because at least it would look like he’s waiting to unload there and I’d look out of place if I parked there with my tank.

A truck is a truck. A truck parked in a legal spot that got there earlier in the day has the same right to that spot as the next guy. Sorry you came rolling into Chicago short on hours (first mistake) and didn’t have a backup plan for parking because you’re out of time (second mistake).

What if the bobtail actually got fuel there? Does that give them the right to park in a legal spot over a guy with a trailer that didn’t fuel and is going to eat in his truck and not spend any money there at all?

Going to 100% paid parking would solve this great dilemma on our hands here.

There’s only 12 in the state. Just start at the top of the list and call all of them and ask. Lol

I would love for a truck stop manager to call the police and tell me to leave if I was not in a reserved spot, just to make room for someone else.

If the tractor fits, you must acquit.

    Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Actually, I, too, believe a bobtail should park elsewhere if it's possible.

I agree with your last sentence within reason. I don’t agree with the OP saying bobtails should leave the property because they can fit anywhere.

And for the record, the last time I was bobtail and had to park I landed at the West OKC Flying J. And I backed up onto the ramp at the east end of the old scale. So I was tucked away all nice and neat not bothering anyone.

It's the minority who thinks it ok to park a bobtail in a full spot. Its like liberals you can't argue with them without them getting butt hurt and calling you a racist. A bit off topic but still relates to parking. I was at the loves in Tulare CA and was taking the trash out in the grass and I saw a truck nosed in. I thought I saw something funny and when looked over I saw a older team couple probably in their late 50s starting to get it on , the wife jumped up and pulled the curtain shut . She just about ripped it down as fast as she was moving.

I would think nearly any of us would park in a bobtail only spot if it was available, but that does not mean I wouldn't park in an available full spot when I need to, nor does it give anybody the right to say I can't just because they don't like it, period.
I can assure you that is not in any way shape or form liberal thinking, but pretty much the opposite, if you think about it.
