A lot of people think the grass is greener. They never notice it’s artificial turf.

Everyone has deadlines. I mow lawns in the summer. There are deadlines with that. There is no job out there that wont have some form of requirement of when the job must get done by. A mega will be worse as they have more people and your just a number to them.
Probably the only job that has no deadlines is psychiatry. As the doctor can only make progress if the brain is willing.misterG and LoSt_AgAiN Thank this. -
I’m pretty sure most LTL will honor the “as long as you are on time for the first stop” rule. I did LTL for a small company and I had no problems with not being able to get back to the yard for the weekend. If Thursday and Friday stops have to be rescheduled for Monday then you have to stay over the road on the weekend. The only people that have a problem with this are people that put their personal life, above trucking.
You’ll meet a lot of LTL guys in motels and hotels. YRC, Yellow, FedEx, UPS,...go to the bar and ask “So umm, raise your hands if your last stop got rescheduled for next week”, everybody will raise their hands lol.misterG, TravR1, WildTiger1990 and 2 others Thank this. -
